I teach French at the high school and middle school levels, something I've been doing for the past five years. I went to Illinois State University to earn my bachelor's degree in French, also earning a K - 12 teaching endorsement. As an undergraduate, I studied abroad in France where I was able to learn through immersion and also gained an understanding of the French culture. I believe any student can learn a new language if they put in the hard work and have the desire to learn. Learning languages takes consistent practice and exposure. I also encourage students to communicate in the language and to seek out vocabulary and phrasing that allows them to express their voice accurately. This help students become more comfortable speaking the language. I also impart upon my students that failures are just a step along the way towards success.
