Mostly experience tutoring friends at school, helped out with a student-led tutoring program called "the merry tutor" at Naperville Public libraries -received a 35 on the ACT (36 writing, 34 math, 35 reading, 36 science) -received a score of a "5" on the AP Computer Science and AP Physics I tests (scores for AP Chemistry, Language, Macro/microeconomics, and Calculus BC have not been released yet) -spent last summer working with professors at IIT for 10 weeks on studying the effects of I/O speeds on heavily threaded applications. focused on parallel computing in the context of "big data", and worked with supercomputing clusters at Argonne national laboratory. Why do I want to be a tutor? I think that I'm a patient person who really enjoys helping other people understand things. Since I myself have struggled through difficult classes I think that I'm able to explain things to people who don't immediately understand so that they can see it in a different way that may help.
